With your research activities you generate ideas constantly. That’s not too difficult. But to turn an idea into a business case is usually more complicated. In this workshop the experts from IXA share different models on why and how to transform your idea into a more concrete concept which can be turned into a solid business case.
What can you expect?
You will work on your own idea and learn to ask yourself the right questions; for which problem/ need is my idea the solution, what are the benefits and for whom? Which parties and stakeholders do you need to involve to develop your idea further.
Further, you get insight in how your research benefits from valorisation and how to organise time and resources for valorisation activities in your work.
Who benefits from this workshop?
Researchers and PhD’s who want to know how to transform an idea into a concrete concept and wants to explore the options for knowledge based entrepreneurship.

About the breakfast workshops
The Breakfast workshops cover various topics concerning sharing knowledge and thus creating impact in society. The workshops helps you to explore the possibilities of valorisation, knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship.
To get you started right away the workshops are highly interactive, information dense and practical: you can put it to use immediately.
The workshops are developed by IXA, the joint knowledge transfer office of HvA, UvA, VU and Amsterdam UMC. They are open to researchers from these universities and for colleagues from the KNAW and NWO Institutes.
Each institution has its own dedicated IXA team that offers researchers and PhD’s support in a broad sense: from starting new collaborations with outside parties, applying for research funding and target financing options to supporting the start of your own company.
