You have plans for a collaboration with an external party or you are asked to share your research results? You think sending a confirmation E-mail or drafting up a memo will do as an agreement? Unfortunately that is not the case. Our legal advisors share with you what you should take into account when collaborating with an external partner or when you start sharing research results. What and how you need to settle in an agreement and who is authorised to sign. Also the subject of Intellectual Property (IP) will be discussed. Should IP be included in an agreement and what is considered IP anyway?

About the breakfast workshops
The Breakfast workshops cover various topics concerning sharing knowledge and thus creating impact in society. The workshops helps you to explore the possibilities of valorisation, knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship.
To get you started right away the workshops are highly interactive, information dense and practical: you can put it to use immediately.
The workshops are developed by IXA, the joint knowledge transfer office of HvA, UvA, VU and Amsterdam UMC. They are open to researchers from these universities and for colleagues from the KNAW and NWO Institutes.
Each institution has its own dedicated IXA team that offers researchers and PhD’s support in a broad sense: from starting new collaborations with outside parties, applying for research funding and target financing options to supporting the start of your own company.
