Over the past 25 years, a lot of energy has been put into turning the Academic Club into a valuable meeting place and centre for sharing knowledge and experience. However, despite all the time, effort, and good programming, visitor numbers have continued to dwindle and the number of members has been stagnant for some time. This, combined with the imposed inactivity due to Covid and the high overhead costs mean that continuing the Academic Club is no longer viable.

To give the Academic Club the send-off it deserves a number of great activities will be taking place in the months leading up to July.
