A complex Europe
How do Europeans perceive themselves? How does this self-image relate to European legislative, institutional, political and economic processes? European Studies takes a closer look at the complexity of interrelation between culture, identity and political outcomes. The Amsterdam approach lays particular emphasis on cultural-historical backgrounds, 'the New Europe' in the Balkans and Eastern Europe, and a wide offer of European languages.
