Dr. Igor Goncharov
Dr. Igor Goncharov joined the Universiteit van Amsterdam Business School in August 2006 as assistant professor of accounting. He graduated from the University of Bremen (Germany) and the School of Management, St. Petersburg State University (Russia) and received his doctoral degree from the University of Bremen. Before joining the Universiteit van Amsterdam, he was working as a scientific officer at the Monopolies Commission (Germany) - the governmental think tank that consults the German Parliament and the Minister for Economic Affairs on competition policy issues. His research interests include earnings quality, international issues in accounting, the role of accounting information in capital markets and corporate governance.
