Working after graduation
After graduating from the UvA, international students can stay in the Netherlands to find a job.
If you have an EU nationality, you do not need a permit for this. If you are a student from Croatia or a country outside the EEA, then you are allowed to spend a period of one year in the Netherlands to find a job as a highly skilled migrant. During this zoekjaar (search year), you are not allowed to apply for benefits from the Dutch state, but you do have access to the Dutch labour market.
