Information about scholarships, loans and grants for Master’s students at the University of Amsterdam.

Amsterdam Excellence Scholarship (AES)

For: Talented students from outside the European Union (EU)
Amount: €25,000
Deadline: 15 January 2017

Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS)

For: Outstanding students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA)
Amount: equal to the tuition fee + € 3,500 start-up allowance
Deadline: 1 February 2017

Orange Tulip Scholarship (OTS)

For: The OTS is offered by local Neso offices to applicants with  a Brazilian, Indonesian, Mexican, Russian or South Korean nationality
Amount: Equal to the tuition fee + € 3,500 start-up allowance
Deadline: 1 February 2017 

Other sources of financial aid

Scholarships and grants may be available from the Dutch Ministry of Education and Sciences or the Ministry for Higher Education in your own country. In certain cases it is also possible for Dutch/EU students to receive a monthly student loan from the Dutch government (via DUO).
