    Radboud Winkels is als universitair hoofddocent (uhd) werkzaam bij het Leibniz Center for Law van de Faculteit Rechtsgeleerdheid van de Universiteit van Amsterdam en als dean van het PPLE college.

    Als psycholoog gespecialiseerd in kunstmatige intelligentie onderzoekt hij kunstmatig juridisch redeneren, (sociale) netwerkanalyse, (juridische) data science, natuurlijke taal verwerking en (juridische) ontologieen. Hij geeft les bij de opleidingen Kunstmatige Intelligentie (Ba) en Forensic Science (Engelstalige Master). Hij was voorzitter van de JURIX foundation of Legal Knowledge and Information Systems en de International Association of AI and Law.

    Winkels was van 2012-2015 voorzitter van de Centrale Ondernemingsraad van de Universiteit van Amsterdam en van 2000-2006 voorzitter van de Ondernemingsraad van de Faculteit voor Rechtsgeleerdheid.
