Target group: researchers in the humanities and social sciences with not-for-profit ideas, researchers interested in funding/non-profit initiatives, SSHL Faculty members from Dutch Universities.

Day One, Theory and Exploration

• Introduction and Entrepreneurial identity: Why turn research into impact?
• Types of organisational structures.
• Impact Strategy: Mapping Theory of Change, Defining and measuring social impact, and understanding the effects on society
• Team building, time management, and skill requirements
• Ecosystem mapping:  who is impacted by your idea + identify your stakeholders and management strategy.

Day Two, Building Blocks
13 June 2024, VU, De Boelelaan 1105

• Insights from experienced founders. Managing expectations and navigating the ups and downs of Social Enterprises  journeys.
• Social Business Model Canvas.
• Various funding methods (e.g., loans, subsidies, grants, product sales).
• University involvement, Copyright and IP management.
• Stewardownership
• Round table with advice on next steps
