Fonts
Within the UvA corporate identity, the serif font ‘Utopia’ is used prominently across almost all communication materials, both online and offline, for headings as well as body text. In addition to Utopia, the sans-serif font ‘Source Sans Pro’ is used in a limited number of applications, such as charts and buttons on the UvA website
Availability
- Utopia and Source Sans Pro are not installed by default on UvA-managed ICT workstations. To create communication materials using these fonts, you can use the UvA Brand Portal.
- If you use Adobe Creative Cloud to create communication materials, you can easily install both fonts via Adobe Fonts.
- Designers developing communication materials on behalf of the UvA are required to purchase both fonts themselves.
- If Utopia is not available in Microsoft Office applications, use Times New Roman as a substitute font.
- If Source Sans Pro is not available in Microsoft Office applications, use Arial as a substitute font.
