  • Profile

Floriane is a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (UvA), researching the advocacy role in climate journalism. She is curious about the dynamics between objectivity and advocacy when legacy news media report on climate solutions, especially regarding the role of journalism in our current societies and the philosophies of journalism. Unravelling the traditional journalistic norm of objectivity is central to this work, as well as understanding what this means for the trust in, and legitimacy of, climate journalism.
