Goldstein qualified as a Chartered Accountant (RA) with the Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants (NIVRA). From 1987 to 2025 he worked at PwC, becoming a partner in 2006. There he chaired PwC’s Public Sector group and served on the Global & EMEA Government & Public Services executive leadership team. Previously, he led PwC’s public‑sector governance programme and its education group.
Alongside his work at PwC, Goldstein held several additional positions. He was a member of the Supervisory Board of Codarts University for the Arts, and of the Legal Assistance for Asylum Seekers Foundation and IDH, a global organisation that brings public and private stakeholders together to make agricultural markets more sustainable and inclusive.
