Wiebe Hommes is a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam Centre for European Law and Governance. His research seeks to combine insights from history and law in order to better understand the interaction between national and European legal spheres and concerns a reception history of the European Convention on Human Rights in the Netherlands. His research interest include the history and theory of human rights, European integration, European law and human rights law. Prior to this research, he earned a LLM in European Union Law and a MA by following the Research Master of History at the University of Amsterdam.
