    Zhiying (Diana) Liu is a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR). Her research primarily focuses on two projects. The first is her PhD project, "Connected through Entertainment," explores the potencial feelings of connection media induce. The second project, "Ideal vs. Real," which evolved from her Master's thesis, examines the influence of appearance-focused content on females' body appreciation.
