Jorge Sandoval is a Nanotechnologist and Policy Analyst doing his PhD in Innovation Management at the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Section. Jorge's research focuses on innovation ecosystems and the interplay of technical and socio-cognitive factors shaping Hard/Deep technological innovations. His interests include organizational learning, technology assessment and adoption, science diplomacy, public interest technologies, industrial policies, and innovation ecosystems.
Jorge has conducted research across a diverse range of disciplines, spanning condensed matter physics, molecular magnetism, quantum technologies, innovation management, and entrepreneurial strategy.
He holds a Bachelor's in Materials Engineering from the Costa Rica Institute of Technology, an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Nanotechnology from KU Leuven and TU Dresden, and a Master in Technology Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
