In the one-year Master's programme Philosophy, you will acquire the skills to formulate, analyse and discuss philosophical problems. It enables you to explore one or more sub-areas of philosophy, studying both Anglo-Saxon and European philosophy.

Inclusive and wide-ranging 

The Master's programme Philosophy is the most inclusive of its kind in the Netherlands. It covers a wide range of topics and has a strong international focus. The programme familiarises students with one or more sub-areas of philosophy and explores both Anglo-Saxon and European philosophy. You will acquire the skills to formulate, analyse and discuss philosophical problems, as well as to formulate and present targeted research questions within a broader research plan.
