The UvA is working to increase awareness of and knowledge about Open Science among its researchers, and to recognize and reward those practicing Open Science.

We work together with the Open Science Community Amsterdam (OSCA) to enable knowledge exchange and, aided by a newly appointed Open Science community manager at the Library. We appoint Open Science Ambassadors in each faculty who act as advocates and points of contact towards colleagues and faculty administrators. In this way, we increase awareness and promote the implementation of Open Science at the local level. We are also working with the faculties on how to recognise and reward the Open Science activities practiced by our researchers.
