Roel van Engelen works as a lecturer at the department of Political Science, where he is involved in teaching lectures as well as seminars for different undergraduate courses in the field of International Relations and Political Economy. Furthermore, he is the department's Assessment Coordinator, as well as a teaching coach for new junior lecturers and a 'TLCoach' for the faculty-wide Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC). For the UvA Graduate School of Social Sciences, Roel is the academic director of the pre-university Honours Programme in International Relations.
