Junia Kattrup (they/them/their) is a PhD Candidate in Religious Studies . In their project titled "Different Contexts for a Fictitious Bishop: Manuscripts of Corpus Agathonicum (6th-11th century) in Light of Material Philology," which is supervised by Dr. Dylan Burns, Dr. Liana Saïf and Prof. Dr. Daniëlle Slootjes, they investigate the Coptic texts attributed to Agathonicus of Tarsus in their material context of the 6th to 11th century and how the cultural contexts in which the texts were copied have influenced their transmission.

Before they started their PhD research, Junia studied Theology at Aarhus University in Denmark, where they wrote their Master's Thesis on the reception of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba in 10th century Coptic poetry.
