My name is Ariadna Romans i Torrent, and I am a dedicated researcher and consultant with a strong academic and professional background in international development, political science, and philosophy. I completed my Master’s degree in International Development Studies at the University of Amsterdam, where I conducted extensive fieldwork on low-income women's experiences of the water crisis in Cape Town. This work, carried out in collaboration with the Future Water Institute from the University of Cape Town supervised by Professor Karen Paiva Henrique and Dr. Sithabile Hlahla.

My academic background also includes a diploma in Sustainable Transition and Climate Emergency Management from ESCI-UPF and two Bachelor's degrees in Philosophy and Political Sciences from the Universitat de Barcelona and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, respectively. My undergraduate thesis on ecofeminism and care received a score of 9.75/10, and my political science thesis examining gender stereotypes in crisis communication was a finalist for the Premi Miquel Caminal i Anna Alabart award.

Professionally, I have gained extensive experience in roles ranging from a fieldwork advisor for the University of Amsterdam to an intern and researcher with NEWAVE - Next Water Governance. I have also held positions as a consultant and researcher with KSNET, National Coordinator for the European Green Activist Training, and Manager of the Secció de Feminismes at Ateneu Barcelonès.

My passion for writing began early and has been a consistent thread throughout my career. Starting as a member and speaker for Young Mediterranean Voices and a triple-awarded debater in regional competitions, I honed my ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. This passion has translated into my work as a columnist and journalist for VIA Empresa and Ethic Magazine, where I explore issues related to sustainability, politics, and social justice.

Fluent in multiple languages including Catalan, Spanish, English, French, and Italian, I am committed to leveraging my skills and knowledge to foster sustainable development and social justice. My published research and active participation in academic conferences demonstrate my dedication to these fields.
