    I am a scientific developer for ecological applications of LiDAR Remote Sensing at LifeWatch-ERIC Virtual Laboratory Innovation Center and my current position is embedded in the Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics (IBED) at the University of Amsterdam. My work is focusing on developing scientific workflows for ecological applications in biodiversity and ecosystem science using airborne and spaceborne LiDAR. Specifically, my research interests lie in 3D ecosystem structure features derived from LiDAR, species-specific traits derived from multi-source remote sensing data (e.g. hyperspectral, multispectral, LiDAR), and biodiversity monitoring using machine learning at a national or continental scale.
