    Vivian Yeboah is a researcher at the Department of Geography, Planning and International Development at the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR)- University of Amsterdam. She is affiliated with the Environment cluster within the Urban Planning programme group. Vivian holds MSc. Urban Development Planning from  University College London (UCL)- United Kingdom and BSc Development Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. Prior to joining the University of Amsterdam, she worked as an ESG Risk Analyst at Ecobank Ghana PLC, in Ghana, where she spearheaded innovative initiatives to reduce the bank’s carbon footprint and advance its sustainability goals. She conducted Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) for diverse companies to ensure compliance with environmental standards, coordinated ESG risk evaluations across Anglophone West Africa to shape organizational sustainability policies, and led cross-functional teams in addressing ESG through upcycling and recycling.

    Driven by a vision for sustainable futures, Vivian’s work thrives at the intersection of critical research, policy advocacy, and practical strategies to design and implement actionable, human-centered solutions addressing socio-economic challenges in the Global South. Her current research explores how an intersectional approach to climate adaptation can pave the way for just climate governance in Accra, Ghana.
