East European Studies (European Studies)


Europe’s vast and open border region in the East – from Poland and the Balkans to the Urals and the Caucasus – has been the stage of some of the most radical transformations and dramatic conflicts that have shaped the modern era. In the one-year Master’s programme East European Studies, you develop a thorough understanding of the history, politics and culture of Eastern European countries (including Russia), and insight into recent developments in the region.

East European Studies is an accredited degree programme of European Studies. After successful completion of this programme, you will receive a legally accredited Master’s degree in European Studies and the title Master of Arts (MA).
