Erasmus+ Exchange students

Erasmus+ exchange students from partner universities are selected and nominated by their home university. Students have to contact the international office at their home university for information on the local application procedure.

Free mover students

Entry requirements for free movers:

  • At least two years of study completed in the field of business, economics and/or quantitative economics or another relevant field of study (including mathematics and statistics) at an academic educational institute in their home country
  • They should have a grade point average of at least 3.0 (US system), or similar
  • They should be proficient in English at least at the level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

NB Students of a university of applied sciences are not admissible.

English language proficiency

Students need to have sufficient proficiency in the English language (at least level B2 of the CEFRL). They have to be able to read textbooks, understand lectures, write papers and other assignments in English, and take part in class discussions. If, on arrival in Amsterdam, a student's English is not sufficient to participate actively in the courses, the student will be asked to take remedial English lessons at his/her own expenses. At worst students can be excluded from the courses.
