I work as a postdoc at the PSECO research group, within the project EU H2020 SOILGUARD. Here I research how sustainable soil management practices affect soil food webs and microbial networks. The project includes a broad range of soils affected by land degradation and climate change.
In my doctoral research I studied how to increase the activity and biomass of saprotrophic fungi starting from fungal-poor arable soils. I also showed how this can lead to suppression of soil-borne diseases and to nitrogen retention.
