My research focuses on the intricate interactions between mood, sleep, and cognitive functioning, under the supervision of Dr. Filip van Opstal and Dr. Esmee Verwijk. I am driven by a clear goal: to enhance understanding and improve care. My interest lies at the intersection of fundamental and applied neuroscience.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology and a Master’s in Cognitive Neurobiology and Clinical Physiology, both from the University of Amsterdam. My background includes research in both human and animal models, covering sleep and sleep-related disorders, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
I'm also a board member of PsAiKo.
