Zongtian Guo is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Amsterdam, affiliated with the Healthcare-AI group. He earned his PhD in Geography from Trinity College Dublin, funded by the Science Foundation Ireland through the ADVANCE-CRT programme. He also holds an MRes in Human Geography and Sustainable Development from the University of St Andrews, and a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Planning from Shenyang University. His academic career includes lectureships in Ireland and the Netherlands, as well as visiting research positions at Guangzhou University and the Guangdong Institute of Eco-environment and Soil Sciences in China. His international experience spans the Netherlands, Ireland, China, Korea, and the UK.

Zongtian’s interdisciplinary research lies at the intersection of digital governance, healthcare innovation, and urban transformation. His current project explores how artificial intelligence and digital technologies reshape healthcare governance and the moral landscapes of care in China and Norway. Using comparative ethnographic methods, he investigates how human–AI collaboration influences professional judgment, institutional trust, and public expectations of wellbeing. His broader interests encompass medical anthropology, ethical AI, and the socio-technical restructuring of public service systems.
