Dr. Michael Hunklinger, MA is a political scientist and postdoctoral researcher in Politics of Diversity and Inequality at the University of Amsterdam. Before joining UvA, he was research fellow and lecturer at the Department for European Policy and the Study of Democracy at the University of Krems (Austria), as well as lecturer at the University of Vienna (Austria) and the Justus Liebig University of Giessen (Germany). In 2021/2022 he was Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He has been working in various interdisciplinary and international projects that deal with European democracy and citizenship as well as political participation, activism and representation of LGBTIQ+ citizens.
