    Loes Janssen is postdoctoraal onderzoeker aan de Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Haar onderzoek focust zich op het welzijn van jongeren, ouder-kind interactie en de effecten van social media op het welzijn van jongeren. In haar werk gebruikt ze intensief herhaalde meting (EMA/ESM), om de ervaringen in het dagelijks leven van adolescenten te begrijpen.

    Janssen is betrokken bij Project AWeSome, een interdisciplinaire samenwerking die onderzoek doet naar de effecten van social media op verschillende aspecten van welbevinden van adolescenten. Janssen is verbonden aan het Center for research on Children, Adolescents, and the Media (CcaM). Vooragfaand aan haar aanstelling aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, rondde ze in 2022 haar PhD 'Changes in perspective: Parenting and well-being of adolescents in daily life' af aan Universiteit Leiden onder begeleiding van prof.dr. Bernet Elzing en dr. Bart Verkuil.
