Willeke Jeeninga is Manager at UvA’s International Student Affairs (BIS). She oversees and manages UvA's Global Partnerships in relation to student mobility and international student experiences. In her position, she also deals with the implementation of UvA's international policy and strategy, in cooperation with the faculties of the UvA and other departments of Student Services. Willeke also works on transformative relationships with the international partners of the UvA, among others by celebrating long-lasting partnerships. She is currently involved in three Erasmus+ KA2 projects, namely NICE (Network for International Competences facilitating Entrepreneurship) until August 2020 – www.nice-eu.org, DIGIPASS - Virtual Support Environments for Mobility - until 2021 and TICKET (Transnational Intercultural Competence through Exchange & Training), until 2022.
Willeke obtained her MA in Art History at the VU University Amsterdam with a major in Architecture. She did several projects for the Heritage Department in the city of Hoorn. These projects included the research of the history of several premises in this town resulting in publications.
