Dasha Kolesnyk is Assistant Professor at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research. Her research examines the role of touch in human experience and the design of haptic technology—systems that integrate the sense of touch into extended reality environments.
Her work spans multiple applied domains, including immersive art installations, professional virtual collaboration spaces, remote social connection, medical applications, and training simulations. Beyond technological development, she investigates the ethical dimensions of touch technology, with particular attention to consent, inclusion, and broader societal implications.
