    Felicia Loecherbach is universitair docent bij de afdeling Communicatiewetenschap aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Ze is daarnaast Faculty Research Affiliate bij het Center for Social Media and Politics (CSMaP) aan New York University, waar ze van 2022 tot 2024 werkte als postdoctoraal onderzoeker. In 2023 promoveerde ze cum laude aan de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam met haar proefschrift “Diversity of News Consumption in a Digital Information Environment.”
    Felicia was onder andere fellow aan het Weizenbaum Instituut in Berlijn en is actief binnen het Europese netwerk OPINION COST Action. Sinds 2024 is zij lid van het bestuur van het Digital Communication Methods Lab aan de UvA en vervult ze de rol van secretaris van de ICA Computational Methods Division (2025–2027). Ze geeft regelmatig onderwijs aan internationale trainingsprogramma’s, waaronder GESIS, en is medeorganisator van evenementen zoals de ICA-hackathon Opening up Communication Science.

    Onderzoek naar nieuwsconsumptie via WhatsApp aan de hand van participantgerichte data donaties, met focus op deelgedrag en informatiedynamiek.

    • Politiek op Wikipedia

    Analyse van politieke informatie op Wikipedia, met aandacht voor meertaligheid, editconflicten rond verkiezingen en implicaties voor representatie en publieke kennis.
