My research focus is on studying mechanisms of change in interventions for children, adolescents and families. I am interested in interventions for (the prevention of) externalizing problem behavior. I am curious about moderators of treatment effects, to learn more about possibilities to develop personalized care.
I prefer to work with data that are routinely collected during treatment. I like to extend these quantitative data with qualitative techniques, such as interviews and observations. Another line of work is the development of instruments, that are aimed to measure human behaviour, to be used in both a clinical and a non-clinical environment.
