Anne Louise Schotel is a doctoral researcher in Political Science at the University of Amsterdam and the Germany Institute Amsterdam (Duitsland Instituut Amsterdam). Her work focuses on the political representation of gender and sexuality in Germany and the Netherlands. She is affiliated with the Amsterdam Centre for Gender and Sexuality Studies (ARC-GS).
During her project, Anne Louise was a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) in Cologne, Germany, and at the LGBTQ Rights and Representation Initiative at the University of North-Carolina (UNC) in Chapel Hill in the United States.
Anne Louise holds a Research Master in Social Sciences from Utrecht University and a double Bachelor in Political Science in Philosophy from the University of Amsterdam.
