I am an experienced communications, events and project professional with a background in academia, culture and socially engaged organisations.

Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of content, creativity and organisation. I enjoy turning ideas and complex subject matter into something concrete and engaging, whether that is an event, a communications strategy, a journalistic story or a new format.

In my current role as Communications Manager at the University of Amsterdam, I combine strategic communications and advice with content development, storytelling and event management. Earlier in my career, I worked as a programme manager, producer and project manager, gaining extensive experience in concept development, events and productions, project and budget management, and partnerships.

I particularly enjoy work that combines creative thinking with making things happen: developing an idea, bringing people together and taking a project from concept to execution. I like dynamic environments, working with different people and disciplines, and keeping an overview when things get busy.

As communication manager for the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR), I can be contacted for:

• Advice and support in your communication (strategy) and in organizing implementation.
• Dissemination of research results.
• Scientific meetings and events, AISSR-wide (e.g. the annual Harvest Day, AISSR Lecture series, workshops, book launches) and for the program groups.
• All questions about (internal and external) online communications such as website(s), UvA profile pages, AISSR newsletter and social media.

I also liase with the faculty communications bureau (FMG), the UvA central communications bureau and UvA press office.
