Julia van Weert was project leader, together with Prof. Dr. Rose-Marie Droes (VU University Medical Center) and Prof. Dr. Berno van Meijel (Inholland University of Applied Sciences) on studies on the Veder Method (Marijke van Haeften-van Dijk) and the Veder Contact Method (Petra Boersma). These Methods use theatrical stimuli, such as theatrical communication (presentation/acte de présence, timing and intonation/tone), poetic communication (rhythm, associating, intonation/sound) and musical communication (recognizable songs of the past, humming, intentional use of music during the daily care) to improve communication in psychogeriatric care.
