Ihsan Zakri is an external PhD candidate in the Leadership & Management section of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Amsterdam.
His doctoral research examines how business schools organise follow-through after accreditation feedback. The project studies how schools translate feedback into action, coordinate responsibilities across leadership teams, monitor progress, retain knowledge across leadership changes, and make improvement visible in recurring peer-review processes.
The research uses a multi-method design combining analysis of accreditation review reports, confidential interviews with deans, and a short survey of leadership-team members. The study contributes to research on leadership, organisational learning, issue resolution, and evaluation processes in higher education.
Alongside his doctoral research, Ihsan works at AACSB International. His professional experience in business school accreditation provides practical insight into the field and motivates his interest in how schools sustain continuous improvement and respond to feedback over time.
