A special evening with Robbert Dijkgraaf
Dijkgraaf is a renowned physicist and academic leader, former Director of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, former Minister of Education, Culture and Science of the Netherlands, and President-Elect of the International Science Council, representing the global science community. He was recently elected Fellow of the Royal Society, one of the world’s most prestigious scientific institutions.
In his talk, Dijkgraaf will reflect on the role of science in times of global challenges and geopolitical tensions. How can universities help bridge the gap between science and society? And why are international cooperation and science diplomacy more important than ever?
The evening will start with a welcome drink, offering an opportunity to meet and reconnect with fellow UvA alumni. After the talk and Q&A, you are warmly invited to continue the conversation over drinks and bites.
