We say safety is important, but how do we translate that intention into daily behaviour? Attorney Ina Brouwer, who has represented victims of ‘Banga lijsten’ (sexist list objectifying female students at another university), advocates that every student and staff member should sign a personal code of conduct. This would be an explicit commitment to contribute to a respectful university culture and to hold each other accountable.
