After completing a Master’s in Communication Science at the UvA and an MBA at Bradford University, he worked in various positions, before starting his own company, De Vries Eten & Drinken, in 2006. In 2009 he opened the first De Pizzabakkers on the Haarlemmerdijk; since 2016 this has grown into a franchise organisation with 32 locations, four of which are still operated directly by the company.
After living in the United States for a year, Lotte Schipper became active in politics at the age of 18. She first became involved in national youth politics, and later also in European and Amsterdam politics. In between, she studied at the University of Amsterdam, where she completed both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in European Studies. She has (temporarily) stepped away from politics, but remains actively engaged in society. Lotte currently works at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations and runs her own business as a moderator and presenter.
