Bastiaan Geleijnse (1967) studied Dutch Language and Literature at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). He worked for five years as an editor and trainer at the consultancy firm McKinsey, and since then has been working in the corporate sector as a freelance trainer in clear writing. Since February, he has also been teaching writing and presenting at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft).
John Reid (1968) studied Law at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). He was admitted to the RAIO training programme and is now a Senior Judge (kantonrechter) in Alkmaar. Since 2016 he has appeared on television as De Rijdende Rechter.
Jean‑Marc van Tol (1967) studied Dutch Language and Literature at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). In addition to his work for Fokke & Sukke, he has become an authority on Johan de Witt and his era. He is working on his third historical novel, the final part of his trilogy about Johan de Witt.
Wilfred Takken (1967) works for NRC. Takken has written two short story collections (Haarlems Dodenboek, Jagen met Boeddha) and a history book about blackface in the Netherlands (Zwart op Wit). He has known Reid, Geleijnse and Van Tol since his American Studies degree at the University of Amsterdam (UvA).
