Gather all the information you can find about a place or neighbourhood, digitise it, link it together using modern technologies and you can explore the past as if you were there yourself: the dream of anyone interested in history. This kind of virtual time machine is being developed, among other things, in the project Kattenburg Virtual Memories. The result is a narrative multimedia experience in which story, interaction and spatial perception reinforce one another. In this session, you will discover more about this entirely new way of telling stories about the past, based in part on the many experiences of people who have lived or worked there.
