Studying with a disability
The University of Amsterdam provides support for students with a disability, chronic illness, neurodivergence or dyslexia, enabling them to participate fully in education and assessment. The UvA offers this support through basic provisions, education and examination arrangements, and tailored facilities.
This policy framework explains the foundations of the policy, the decisions that have been made, and the reasons behind them. It provides direction, clarity and consistency in the support offered to students, and enables staff to fulfil their role within a clear structure.
