The UvA provides support and guidance to students who need it because of a disability or chronic illness, and has policies for this.

Five to 9% of UvA students have a disability or chronic illness. In most cases this isn’t a barrier to obtaining a degree. The UvA offers (financial) support in the form of extra guidance or facilities for those who need it. In some cases, adaptations may be necessary so that the student can complete the study programme.
