The UvA has a special and diverse property portfolio. It is used to house education, research and valorisation, with different space requirements.

The UvA's real estate portfolio consists of a total of approximately 337,000 m² LFA (excluding ACTA and AMC, source: Planon, reference date 1 January 2023) in rent and ownership, spread across 4 campuses: University Quarter, Roeterseiland Campus, Amsterdam Science Park and Amsterdam Medical Business Park. In addition, housing is used at the AMC (Faculty of Medicine) and the VU Campus (Faculty of Dentistry at ACTA).

The Accommodations Plan (Huisvestingsplan) is a strategic and financial plan and creates frameworks for current and future space needs of the UvA for education, research and valorisation.
