  • Profile

Since early 2019, I have been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Psychology, University of Amsterdam (UvA) and been affiliated with Amsterdam Interdisciplinary Centre for Emotion (AICE), Amsterdam Cultural Psychology Lab, and Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR).

Postdoctoral supervisors: Agneta Fischer and Jan Willem Duyvendak

My research interests encompass the areas of political psychology (extremism and populism), conspiracy mentality and misinformation, social identity (ingroup vs. outgroup; intergroup relations), affective science (basic emotions and appraisal theory), cultural psychology (cultural aspects of stereotyping and racism), threat and terror management theory, perspective-taking and affective polarization in online-communication, political rhetoric/discourse and pragmatics, sociology of emotions, computational social science, digital communication science as well as hate speech and abusive language across different data types and media contents. For our research collaborations (papers are either work in progress or under review), my co-authors and I deploy a combination of (computational) methods, such as big data analytics, deep learning algorithms, survey research (longitudinal and cross-sectional), and experimental designs (within-subjects and between-subjects).
