  • Profile

I joined the Conscious Brain Lab in September 2023 as a PhD candidate under supervision of Simon van Gaal. During my ERC funded project, I will focus on feedback processes in the brain and their relation to conscious perception by manipulating the NMDA and GABA receptors. My research will combine EEG, fMRI, eye tracking, behavioural tasks and pharmacological interventions. Next to my research, I also supervise bachelor and master students and teach courses.

    Current research projects

    •    We investigate how task difficulty affects the relationship between arousal and performance, using an auditory discrimination task and pupil dilation as measure of arousal.
    •    We also investigate the relationship between arousal and neural processing, using kanizsa illusions, decoding of EEG data and pupil dilation.
