'Not done studying after obtaining my BsC degree at the Hogeschool Utrecht I decided that I was not done studying chemistry yet. During my studies in Utrecht I also undertook two internships in Amsterdam. Besides the fact that the contents of the Master's programme were the most to my liking compared with other tracks in the Netherlands, I already felt at home in Amsterdam making it an easy decision.'

'I enjoyed the full program of the Master's a lot. Initial difficulties with the courses were quickly resolved by motivation and hard work. The diversity of the students in the track positively surprised me. I met people from all over Europe and made several good friends. The cooperation between UvA and VU is great! It gives you a chance to look beyond your own university and get to know other research groups and professors.'

'The part I enjoyed most of the Master's was that I was given the opportunity to go abroad for an internship at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. The past three months, which also were the final months of my Master's, I spent at one of the world’s leading research institutes in an excellent research group. I had an amazing time in Israel both on the institute and outside of it! Besides the challenging research, which was an educational experience, I also had plenty of time to meet new people, travel the country, have a lot fun and experience a different culture.'
