Three PhD candidates in the humanities awarded grants

Pamela Jordan (Archaeology), Antonia Weiss (History) and Dean McHugh (ILLC) have each been awarded a grant as part of the NWO’s PhDs in the Humanities programme. The latest round of grants comprised no less than € 3.2 million.
The PhD trajectories have been selected from universities that partook in the Sustainable Humanities process. The goal of the PhDs in the Humanities funding instrument is to increase the number of young talents in the humanities. The programme is funded by Regieorgaan Geesteswetenschappen and NWO domain Sociale en Geesteswetenschappen.
