The Tinbergen Institute is responsible for all aspects of this programme:
- It is an extensive programme of field courses. After the 1st year of thorough grounding in economics, econometrics and finance, you will have the opportunity to choose from a wide array of electives in the 2nd year. Half of the 2nd year is devoted to thesis research under expert supervision.
- This Master's will be a small-scale programme, with a class-size limit of 35 students. This allows you to regularly call upon the professors and the Director of Graduate Studies for individual advice. Students become a closely knit group: despite the many hours of hard work they always find the time for leisure.
- Most students who successfully complete this Master's programme obtain a fully paid PhD position at one of the schools that jointly run Tinbergen Institute. Therefore, it will be a stepping stone for you if you are interested in PhD research.
