'The Green Life Sciences track was one of the highlights of my life. The atmosphere was friendly, hard-working, and inspiring, and it ultimately laid the foundation for my career. At the UvA, I would learn about glandular trichomes for the first time at the lunch table from Professor Robert Schuurink, who was taken aghast that I didn’t know what they were — I would later go on to build a career around glandular trichomes.'
'I appreciated the practical nature of the programme, where a large part was spent on long internships. This allowed me to gain experience with different techniques, which played an important role in my further choices.'
'I had a great deal of freedom in this programme. For example, I took the Tesla minor (now called Collective Futures) in addition to the standard courses. During this, you work with Master's students from other programmes as student consultants for six months. Fitting this into my curriculum was not a problem at all.'

You can develop into a broadly educated, critical and independent scientist, with not only a solid theoretical basis, but also plenty of room for practical experience and your own initiative.
